The Master’s program in Embedded Systems Engineering qualifies students for scientific research as well as for professional practice in technical fields. It prepares graduates for technical careers, senior roles in complex engineering projects, and for a possible subsequent academic research career. A strong focus is placed on systems engineering and cross-domain collaboration in international contexts.
The program provides competencies in modeling control systems for mechatronic systems, implementing algorithms for distributed embedded systems, applying tools for embedded software engineering, and leading cross-domain system designs. The four-semester curriculum combines a structured teaching phase with compulsory courses and a two-semester research and project phase including electives and a Master’s thesis. International and project-oriented components complement the study program.
Graduates are awarded the degree Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) and are qualified for independent professional work in industry, research, and technology-driven organizations. The program offers specialization options in automotive systems, computer vision, microelectronics and hardware engineering, as well as formal methods and software architectures.
