We are Innovative Experience
In our cross-functional "Future UX-Concepts & UX-SW-Technologies" team, we design the guiding principle of our UX vision for the Mercedes-Benz user experience of the future.
With this vision, we are developing a new, holistic customer experience in our vehicles and beyond. Our customers are the focus around which we design the Mercedes-Benz Experience.
Intelligent agents have developed rapidly in recent years and have established themselves in various places in our everyday lives, such as on our smartphone, in our smart home and in our vehicles. Due to continuous and rapid technological advances in fields such as sensor technology, signal processing and generative AI, intelligent agents are increasingly able to imitate human abilities such as logical thought processes and reasoning. This increased and growing intelligence enables agents to make or suggest decisions, become proactive in interactions or even perform actions completely autonomously. While these capabilities open up the opportunity to make user experiences more natural, efficient and predictive depending on the user context and environmental situation, the design of the increasingly multimodal interaction between user and agent opens up a multitude of open research questions.
In order to accompany us on our way into the future of mobility, we are looking for creative participation in the conception/development, prototypical realization and evaluation of future-oriented user experiences in the vehicle as part of a final thesis for a period of 5-6 months.
With the thesis we want to gain further insights in the field of AI agents and multimodal UX concepts in and on the vehicle:
- Research on technologies & scientific work around context-based human-agent interaction
- Ideation & conception of context-based interactions between AI agent and user incl. representation as user journeys / user stories
- Development of different approaches for context modeling for users and environment in the context of generative AI
- Prototypical implementation of the interaction concepts in one of our digital, multi-modal experience environments based on the developed approaches for context modeling
- Systematic comparison of the different context models and evaluation of the resulting interactions / user experiences
- Scientific documentation of the methodology and results
The final topic is determined in consultation with the university, you and us.
