For the Cyber Security and Privacy Laboratory in our Germany Research Center in Munich;

Join us as an

Intern / Working Student for System Security and Platform Cyber Resilience (m/f/d) – Praktikum who will support activities for security in the context of Trusted Systems for a duration of 6-9 months.

Your mission

• Study state-of-the-art architectures for firmware/OS integrity detection and protection based on TCG’s TPM and DICE standards, and software technologies such as Linux IMA
• Propose new architectures for System Security and firmware/OS resilience to recover a compromised system
• Implement Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed architectures

Your areas of expertise

• Master/Bachelor of computer science, network, security or other domain-related discipline
• Solid knowledge of C programming; experience in C++, Python or Go is a plus
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Understanding of basic security concepts; experience with digital signatures, keys and cryptographic algorithms is a plus
• Familiarity with hardware architectures such as ARMv8, ARMv8-M and with hardware security capabilities such as ARM TrustZone or Intel SGX enclaves is a big plus
• Comfortable communicating in English

• Excellent interpersonal skills and team-work spirit and independent working capability
• Hands-on and can-do attitude
