As the Supply Chain Analytics & Initiatives Intern, you are responsible for a variety of supply chain / purchasing projects related to analytics, process, and system initiatives projects. These projects are centered around productivity and continuous improvement initiatives to improve the MIS Supply Chain. You will also have an opportunity to work closely with leadership and Supply Chain team members to manage multiple aspects of our supply chain including, strategic purchasing, operational purchasing and more.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and managing supply chain and purchasing analytics.

• Proactively identify and implement process improvement initiatives and relevant systems.

• Actively participate as a resource on project teams and/or programs to support business initiatives and objectives.

• Work with suppliers to ensure fulfillment of compliance and quality documentation (REACH, RoHS, MDR, ISO, etc).

• Learn Supply Chain best practices and/or tools (e.g., purchase-to-pay process, distribution, logistics, value stream mapping).

• Further tasks not included in this job description that are assigned by the manager verbally or written.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

• Student of master’s degree studies in the field of business administration or (industrial) engineering with a focus on supply chain management or logistics (university or university of applied science), or equivalent knowledge or experience.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including a high proficiency in Excel; knowledge in Power BI preferred.

• Highly skilled with data analysis.

• Ability to learn new systems, works independently and as a team player.

• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills in English and German.
