This challenge awaits you:
IAV's Sound, Audio & Voice Functions department develops audio signal processing for infotainment systems of the future. The focus is on the development and tuning of signal processing algorithms for entertainment, emergency call systems and telephony as well as speech recognition for voice assistants. As a working student, you will support us with sound tuning in the vehicles and thus gain deep insights into relevant development methods and tools in the automotive audio environment.
Your Tasks:
- You are responsible for carrying out and evaluating electro-acoustic measurements and sound tuning for infotainment systems using artificial head measurement systems
- You put infotainment control units into operation and update them
- You support the installation of audio demonstrators in the vehicle
Necessary Skills:
- You are studying electrical engineering, communications and information technology or a comparable course of study
- You have enthusiasm and expertise for sound tuning (e.g. DSP tuning on hi-fi components, live mixing)
- You have a structured, results-oriented way of working and a high degree of personal responsibility
- You have good language skills in English and German
Desired Skills:
- You already have some knowledge of audio and speech signal processing
Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current hourly rate for this position is EUR 17.52.
