The Purchasing & Supplier Quality (MP) organization is a cornerstone of the value creation architecture of Mercedes-Benz AG.

MP is responsible for purchasing components, hardware and in-car software for the Group in the double-digit billion range and ensures the maturity levels and quality of around 1,500 suppliers worldwide during the development, start-up and series production phases. To this end, the MP organization is operationally and strategically positioned worldwide and is represented at locations in Germany, Austria, South Africa, China, India, Mexico, Argentina, the USA and Canada.

At MP, series management controls the awarding process, the sampling process and the maturity ramp-up for vehicle generations. The employees work together cross-functionally in project committees, are closely coordinated with the necessary interfaces such as development and cost planning and work continuously on the further development of procedures and coordination processes.

You will face these challenges:

• You will work in an interdisciplinary and international environment directly at the interface between development, quality planning, the production plant and the project organization
• You will gain an insight into the coordination of a wide range of tasks with a focus on supplier quality and component maturity level
• You support the team in the preparation and evaluation of project topics, which are presented in management meetings
• You will take part in cross-departmental workshops directly on the vehicle and gain valuable experience

Professional qualification:

• You are studying in the field of industrial engineering, business administration or similar
• You have a very good command of German and a good command of English (written and spoken)
• You have very good knowledge of MS Office to create presentations and evaluations (especially PowerPoint, Excel)

Personal skills:

• You have a confident demeanor and strong communication skills
• You have a quick grasp and are motivated to learn new things
• You have a high level of initiative and good verbal skills
