Compulsory internship in Facility Management, Waste Management trade from September 2024

The "Sustainable Infrastructure Untertürkheim" department is responsible for all service areas for supplying the site and providing the framework conditions for maintaining production. This includes energy supply, facility management, cleaning, waste disposal, maintenance of building accessories such as FFZ/lifts/cranes/doors/gates, operation of spare parts warehouses and much more. We are looking for active support in the areas of lifting equipment/forklift maintenance, warehouse management and waste management as part of a mandatory internship.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
- Assisting with the review of hazardous materials storage lists per waste management center, as well as reconciliation with applicable permits/conditions
- Analyzing and optimizing the quality management tool to evaluate the performance of the external companies used in all trades
- Carrying out random sample inspections for all trades to check the performance of external companies and the effectiveness of the quality management tool
- Analyze and evaluate the existing store floor management key figures and develop ideas for further development
- Optimization of existing tools and intranet presence
- On-site inspections and preparation of risk assessments with regard to occupational safety
- Degree in facility management, environmental protection and disposal technology, waste management, industrial engineering or a comparable course of study
- Proficient in written and spoken German and English
- Confident handling of MS Office
- Commitment and ability to work in a team
- Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
Please note that your internship at this location must include a mandatory component.

Duration of internship: 6 months, from 01.09.2024 (possibly later).
Working hours: 40h/week. ONLY if intern/working student: Working hours for working students: in accordance with the laws for working students (m/f/d) max. 20 hours/week during the lecture period and max. 40 hours/week during the lecture-free period.
