Working student position in the field of standardization and digitization intralogistics from September 2024

Our team is responsible for the standardization of logistics and planning processes in intralogistics and we are looking for new minds who want to shape the future with us. We develop methods and standards with an experienced, motivated team along the entire logistics process chain (E2E) in close and cooperative partnership with other interface areas.

We, the Supply Chain Planning of Mercedes-Benz Cars (MBC) Operation, automate and digitalize the production supply of our production plants through new innovative technologies, stable processes and groundbreaking innovations.

As part of this student trainee position, you will be part of the "Digitalization Intralogistics Planning" expert group. Here you can contribute your analytical skills and your curiosity for logistics processes and help us shape digital logistics planning.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• You will be actively involved in the preparation and implementation phases of workshops to develop methodical approaches in intralogistics
• You will be involved in the design of manuals and the development of training materials
• You support the development of wireframes for future functions in a system
• You are responsible for the design of process models that map the intralogistics processes and their quality control
• You will be responsible for the careful maintenance and updating of information in a specific database

• Degree in industrial engineering or a comparable technical course of study with a focus on logistics and IT
• Proficient in written and spoken German and English
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Basic knowledge of logistics processes in the production supply of an automobile manufacturer
• Knowledge of agile project management
• Very good intercultural competence and experience in international cooperation
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
