We are the Beyond Car & City Intelligence team - the matchmakers between vehicle and urban environment. Our mission is to create interfaces - between our future products and the urban environments in which they operate.

At the same time, our Mercedes-Benz customers have an increasing need for an environment that suits their car: Intelligent charging solutions and parking garages as well as roads that are prepared for autonomous driving are just the beginning. What's next?

As a new intern in our team, you will be involved in a real end-to-end responsibility - from idea to realization! Thanks to our broad portfolio of exciting projects, we have the opportunity to involve you individually in the various topics based on your interests and skills.

Your tasks in the Beyond Car team:

City Intelligence: With an ear to the city and society, you identify what moves the world out there and derive recommendations for action from their transformation strategies for our product management in collaborative workshops with representatives of important cities.

Explore: We are the "truffle pigs" of Mercedes. Work with us to extract the mobility journeys of our customers from the identified mobility developments and thus the relevant requirements for our future vehicles - always according to the criteria of need, feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

Frontrunner instead of fast follower: work with us to create a local concept environment for technical and conceptual innovations that contribute to the pioneering spirit of the Mercedes brand and harmonize our vehicles with their surroundings.

First move Stuttgart: Work with us to design a future-oriented environment that serves as a representative flagship for the Mercedes brand and the Stuttgart location.

Better together: Work with us to create a partner network of local players who contribute different knowledge and resources to a concept environment in order to maximize existing potential and create an all-encompassing environment.

End-to-end: Depending on your experience and aptitude, you will take responsibility for individual task packages or sub-projects. You will plan and moderate workshops or meetings with city and company representatives, our local partners or selected customers, create clear management presentations and proactively contribute your ideas and knowledge to day-to-day operations.

Internship Hard Facts

• Currently enrolled students in Bachelor's / Master's programs in urban planning, architecture, traffic engineering, sustainability management, product design, marketing, business administration, economics, or similar degree programs

Please indicate in your application whether it is a compulsory internship or a voluntary internship.

The contract has a duration of 6 months, ideally from October 1, 2023. An individual start date (earlier/later) can be discussed.

Your experience

• Basic knowledge of project management (schedules and budget planning)
• Experience in agile work culture
• Fluency in German and English and very good MS Office skills
• Experience in sustainability and/or product management projects desirable
