We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of passive safety. Our goal is to exploit the capabilities of virtual vehicle development by improving the performance of crash simulation models using AI methods.
What awaits you?
- You will develop a regression model to support the passive safety design of vehicles in early phases.
- You will setup State-of-the-Art Deep Learning Neural Networks based on existing simulation data.
- During which you will exchange with specialists to discuss your approaches and ideas.
- You will document and present your results.
- Participation in other day-to-day activities gives you more insights in model development for vehicle safety.
What should you bring along?
- Master studies in computational mechanics, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a comparable studies program.
- Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Science.
- Programming skills, preferably Python.
- Ideally first practical experience with crash simulation software (LS-Dyna) and preprocessing tools (ANSA).
- Fluent English, German is advantageous.
- Team- and communication skills.
