Working student position in the field of measurement data analysis for parking assistance functions from October 2024

Our department is responsible for the system development and system architecture of driving and parking systems. We are responsible for the development of a wide range of ADAS systems (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), ranging from reversing cameras and lane keeping systems to remote parking via smartphone app. The Immendingen site with its modern test facility offers excellent opportunities to develop pioneering assistance systems.

As a working student, you will support the analysis of measurement data for new assistance functions of our parking assistance system. This includes the detection and evaluation of functional errors including root cause analysis or a general performance evaluation with regard to specific functional criteria. Based on this, a statistical processing/evaluation of the frequency of occurrence of errors and their categorization is to be carried out.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Analysis and preparation of measurement data
• Carrying out causal chain and root cause analyses
• Creating an automated performance evaluation
• Statistical processing and evaluation of the analysis results
• Derivation and (further) development of test cases and test scenarios

If you are interested, you will also have the opportunity to work close to the vehicle and participate in vehicle preparation.

• Degree course in automotive engineering, engineering or similar
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills (min. C1)
• Experience in the implementation and/or evaluation of measurement data analysis and processing desirable
• Programming skills (e.g. Python or Matlab) an advantage
• Knowledge of (semi-automated) driver assistance technologies
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
• Independent and determined action
