Powertrain Product Management is responsible for the entire powertrain of conventional and electrified Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, from the initial conception of new products through to market launch and beyond.

The powertrain comprises the engine, transmission and the battery and high-voltage system in electrified vehicles, and is at the heart of the performance of every car.

Our department is cross-functional and, in addition to the product management of the individual vehicle series, offers insights into the development and communication departments as well as our international regions and markets.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Actively shaping the change towards electromobility by working in Product Management eDrive Compact & Midsize in the areas of battery, electric drive, eDrive performance and integration into the overall vehicle
• Collaboration on exciting, future-oriented concept and specification contributions for electrified Mercedes-Benz vehicles in coordination with regions and markets worldwide, development and project partners

• Monitoring and presenting current and future trends and their significance for the field of electromobility

• Tracking and summarizing specific customer requirements regarding performance, range and charging of our vehicles

• Continuously conducting quantitative and qualitative competitive analyses in the field of electromobility
• Participation in the preparation of international workshops, committee meetings and control loops through to the preparation of board proposals

• Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, communication sciences (with a focus on marketing) or similar
• Previous knowledge of the market/competitive environment in the field of electromobility and an interest in electromobility are desirable
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills

• Confident handling of MS Office

• High level of commitment and ability to work in a team

• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working

• Creativity

• A keen interest in the automobile

• Driving license class B
