Working student position in the field of steel suspension from October 2024

Our department (RD/VDD) is responsible for the development and series support of suspension systems such as steel suspension, air suspension and active suspension systems for all Mercedes-Benz passenger car model series. Production sites for the passenger car model series are in Sindelfingen, Bremen, Rastatt, Kecskemét, Beijing (China), East London (South Africa) and Tuscaloosa (USA).

The Steel Suspension team focuses on the development, design and conception, the inquiry documents in the form of specifications and test plans, the design and documentation as well as the testing and approval of front axle steel suspension struts and rear axle dampers, front axle and rear axle stabilizers with stabilizer linkages for all Mercedes-Benz passenger car chassis.

We are looking for a committed student for the following main tasks in the field of steel suspension testing:

• Recording and allocation of test and series parts
• Determination of mileage data on the basis of vehicle identification numbers
• Creation of assembly orders
• Support with parts shipping and warehouse logistics
• Vehicle transfers
• Test part coordination and parts orders

• Degree course: Mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable degree course
• Language skills: Confident written and spoken German and English skills
• IT skills: Confident handling of MS Office

Other:

• Driving license class B
