We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied intership in the area of Data Engineering and Data Science. Our on-site Analytics team is focused on the analysis and prediction of faults in the BMW vehicle fleet, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. As a Data Science Intern at BMW R&D, you will collaborate with experts, immerse yourself in cutting-edge technologies, and play a vital role in BMW's digital transformation journey.

What awaits you?

• You will work independently in data preparation and analysis in the area of error detection in our vehicle fleet. Through your own mini-project, there is the opportunity to gain initial experience in project management.
• We offer you comprehensive mentoring and onboarding for your personal and professional development, as well as a balanced work-life balance through flexible working hours.
• Furthermore you will work in a dedicated and competent team consisting of experienced analysis experts, other interns, and a doctoral candidate, who will support and accompany you during your internship.

What should you bring along? 

• Currently enrolled in a computer science, computer engineering or similar degree.
• Excellent programming skills in PySpark, SQL or Python.
• Passionate about building extraordinary products.
• Be comfortable with software engineering practices and demonstrated experience in developing quality software.
• High self-motivation, excellent problem-solving skills, excellent communicative and collaborative skills.
• German proficiency and expertise in one or more following areas: Data Engineering, Machine Learning or Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure) is a bonus.
