Mandatory internship in Sustainability, Group Environmental Protection & Energy Management from October 2024

The transformation to a sustainable society requires the transformation of entire industries. We at RD/RSE want to actively shape this change at Mercedes Benz and be part of the solution. We are responsible for the environmental and energy policy of the Mercedes-Benz Group and help shape the sustainable business strategy in terms of the environmental impact of products and processes.

Your main task will be to ensure the provision of consistent, production-related environmental data at Group level. This includes, among other things, support in the data coordination of the corresponding global data reporting of the Group's production plants, the determination of key figures and cooperation in the fulfillment of data reporting obligations of Mercedes Benz AG towards authorities, associations, rating agencies and NGOs.

You will face these challenges:

• Collaboration in the data management of the environmental data of the worldwide production sites of Mercedes Benz AG
• Determination of environmental key figures and environmental parameters of the production sites
• Checking the environmental parameters of the sites with regard to data completeness and quality
• Participation in the creation of data standards
• Clarification of questions regarding environmental data with the locations worldwide
• Participation in the development of global data audits, their preparation and determination and communication of
• Environmental data for the Group's annual report and sustainability reporting

• Natural science or technical studies with a focus on environmental protection, environmental engineering, sustainability or a comparable course of study with an environmental focus, preferably with a specialization in IT
• Proficient in written and spoken German and English, additional foreign language skills desirable
• Confident handling of common MS Office applications
• Creativity, teamwork and communication skills
• Analytical way of thinking, quick comprehension and conceptual skills
• Commitment and reliability as well as an independent way of working
• Previous knowledge of the environment and sustainability
