Internship with the Head of Communications for Cars and Vans from October 2024

The Mercedes-Benz Group is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest suppliers of premium and luxury cars and vans. Our department is responsible for communications for cars and vans. This includes the departments responsible for product, technology, brand, lifestyle, sport and design.

We are looking for an intern to join the department management team for a period of 6 months as soon as possible

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Internal committees / retreats / employee events - Assistance in the planning, implementation and follow-up of regular committees (weekly and monthly) with the department heads as well as a management retreat (approx. 30 participants) and employee event (approx. 100 participants) - this includes on the one hand the preparation of content, also in cooperation with internal board areas and agencies, and on the other hand the organizational implementation of the individual formats or events
• Process work - designing presentations that map or update processes in the division
• Personnel processes - helping to create mailings for personnel changes, among other things
• Inquiries from customers and journalists - support in forwarding and following up on these inquiries

• Degree in business administration or economics with a specialization in communication / marketing / event management or a comparable course of study desirable
• Initial practical experience in communications or marketing desirable
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills
• Willingness to learn, motivation (can-do mentality) and commitment (hands-on mentality)
• Ability to communicate and work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
