Compulsory internship in the field of cell development from November 2024

At Mercedes-Benz AG in Untertürkheim, innovative battery and cell chemistries are being developed to drive forward innovative mobility solutions. This requires the continuous production of appropriate electrodes. After familiarization with a wide variety of manufacturing and testing methods, you can expect to independently produce and characterize innovative electrode compositions in this mandatory internship.

The compulsory internship includes the following points:

• Literature research on the processing and production of lithium-ion electrodes
• Familiarization with established manufacturing and characterization processes
• Independent physical characterization of the products
• Independent electrochemical characterization of the products
• Scientific evaluation and discussion of the results
• Documentation of the results

Please note that your internship at this location must include a prescribed compulsory part.

• Degree in chemical engineering, process engineering or a comparable course of study
• Previous knowledge in the field of battery cells is an advantage
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
