The app consistently ranks among the top ten in the “News & Magazines” category on both platforms. With around 700,000 monthly active users who rate the app with more than four stars, we are committed to maintaining and enhancing user satisfaction.
Our international team, which operates in English, is dedicated to ensuring that the WELT News app continues to meet the high standards expected by our global user base, and we are looking for a motivated and technical-oriented QA Working Student to support the team in various QA activities, ensuring the best possible app experience for our users.

Job Description

QA Working Student and integral part of our app development process, actively participating in various quality assurance activities

• assisting in the development and execution of QA activities within our international team
• supporting the analysis, planning, development, and maintenance of automated UI tests using TestSigma and BrowserStack
• identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs in the app, collaborating closely with design and development teams using tools like JIRA and Charles Proxy
• assisting the Product Owner with app releases via Google Play Console and App Store Connect
• collaborating with the design team to ensure the final product matches design specifications
• developing, reviewing, and maintaining test documentation
• communicating with and supporting the product development team in a Kanban environment
• identifying opportunities to enhance the user experience (UX) of our apps
  

Qualifications

currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities

• experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs in mobile applications
• proficiency in QA methodologies and tools, such as JIRA
• experience with HTTP debugging tools like Charles Proxy is advantageous
• a strong desire to learn and work with the latest technologies and QA practices
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• fluency in English, both written and spoken is a must
