In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we are shaping the automobile generations of the future. By this we mean innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes. We are already working today on vehicles that will secure the technological leadership of Mercedes Benz AG in the future.
The development of electric vehicle drives is a core competence of Mercedes-Benz AG and thus an essential part of our future strategy. Li-ion batteries are becoming increasingly important in a completely new generation of electric vehicles.
The Battery Development Center (RD/EB) is responsible for the development of high-voltage batteries at Mercedes-Benz AG and the RD/EBZ department is responsible for the further development of cell chemistry as well as the development and release of individual cells and cell modules. The rapid technological development in the design of automotive cells and their production process will continue in the coming years and will be actively driven forward by the Cell Technology team.
We are developing production processes for the latest cell technologies with the aim of manufacturing the best batteries and minimizing the carbon footprint of cell production. State-of-the-art systems are used for this purpose, which offer a wide range of parameters for optimization. Chemistry and process engineering are put into practice here.
The internship is scheduled to last 4 months and the challenges you will face include- Planning and implementing the new projects
- Carrying out the optimization work in cell production
- Communication with internal and external project partners
- Documentation and evaluation of the results
Please note that your internship at this location must include a mandatory component.
Qualifikationen- Degree in chemistry, process engineering or a comparable course of study
- Proficient in written and spoken German and English
- Confident handling of MS Office
- Commitment and ability to work in a team
- Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
