The Applied Machine Learning (AML) group is part of the Department for Artificial Intelligence and is looking for a student research assistant to strengthen scientific activities in the context of interdisciplinary cooperation. In the AML working group, new innovative solutions are being researched and developed that will be used in current and future key topics. What you will do
Testing, evaluating, and training current AI models and architectures
Implementing ML pipelines
Developing software and frameworks
Analyzing and processing various data modalities (images, time series, etc.)
Reviewing and evaluating relevant literature and datasets
Creating and delivering presentations
What you bring to the table
Ongoing studies in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with outstanding performance
Programming experience, particularly strong to excellent Python skills
Advanced knowledge in Machine Learning, especially in working with neural networks
Motivation and initiative
Very good proficiency in German is advantageous
Experience with AI in the medical field is helpful, but not required

The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.
The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
