The transformation to a sustainable society requires the transformation of entire industries. We want to play an active role in shaping this change at Mercedes-Benz and be part of the solution. We are responsible for the Mercedes-Benz Group's environmental and energy policy and, in terms of the environmental impact of products and processes, we help shape the sustainable business strategy.
In our teams, we develop essential parts of the environmental sustainability of our current and future business activities, including the preparation of holistic life cycle assessments such as life cycle analyses of our vehicles. As part of our work on model series and module groups, we are driving forward the development of more sustainable vehicles and striving to continuously reduce our use of primary raw materials in resource management.
We oversee environmental and energy-related management systems, define specifications for product and production-related environmental protection, and create and support risk prevention at our plant locations through due diligence processes. We are responsible for radiation protection and hazardous substance management and coordinate environmental ratings as well as all internal and external environmental reporting.
You will face these challenges:
- Assisting activities for the department management, including organizing and coordinating appointments and meetings
- Conception and design of communication measures for the department
- Planning and organizing various department workshops
- Interface to other departments within the Group
- Preparing management presentations and reports to present the company's environmental and sustainability performance
- Supporting the team in day-to-day operations
- Degree in industrial engineering, business administration, economics or a comparable course of study (ideally with an environmental focus or specialization)
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
- Confident handling of common MS Office applications
- Creativity and ability to work in a team
- Analytical way of thinking, quick comprehension and conceptual skills
- Commitment and reliability as well as an independent way of working
- General interest in the automotive/automotive industry/mobility is an advantage
- Previous knowledge of the environment and sustainability
