Our department Finance Operations Risk Management MBM takes care for the following tasks...
The department Finance Operations Risk Management MBM at Mercedes-Benz Mobility Headquarters provides and maintains standardized methods for credit risk reserve setting in accordance with IFRS 9 and is also responsible for the monthly calculation of credit risk reserves, risk reporting as well as risk steering and economic capital for the global Mercedes-Benz Mobility entities. The maintenance and further development of risk tools, methods and databases as a prerequisite for the standardization and the digitalisation of the risk reserve calculation are main activities in our department. In order to fulfill our business requirements and strategic targets we own the functional responsibility for several IT systems which run through recurring phases of updates and automation to ensure the application of high-quality software and solutions.
Your tasks as an intern will be:
- You support during the testing phase of a software migration with regard to testing and analytical tasks
- You get a broad overview of the application of analytical software in different risk management related topics and you support the automation process
- You learn about the processes and tasks applied in the programmed tools and develop test cases
- You support the test execution and the alignment with functional and IT departments
- You are responsible for tasks with focus on the analysis of calculation results with method and data related issues
- You develop and test SQL, SAS, Databricks, VBA or Power BI based tools and ad hoc code to ensure a high level of efficiency during the testing process
- You are a student of Business Informatics, Business Mathematics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or comparable education
- You are motivated to utilize your analytical, programming and conceptual competencies. You enjoy working with big volume of data
- You gained know-how in programming. Experience in SQL, VBA, Databricks, SAS or Power BI is beneficial
- Knowledge about risk management related topics as the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or statistical data analyses is beneficial
- As you are motivated to work in an international and multicultural team, you master English in speaking and writing. German languages skills are beneficial
- Strong ability to work independently, conscientiously and self-driven. Strong communication skills
