About the role
Within your role as Working Student IT-Controlling (m/f/d) you will work with a wide range of internal and external partners in an international environment and gain a deep insight into the company. You collaborate closely with IT Controlling in allocating costs to the correct cost units and assist our IT Purchasing colleagues in analyzing contract metrics and systematically capturing savings. Therefore, support us in making the best possible use of our economic resources.
What you will do
- You will be part of the Corporate IT Finance team and will gain deep insights into various topics of controlling, budgeting & reporting
- You will participate in the process of building a robust financial system for Corporate IT
- You will get to know the most important analyses and KPIs in connection with the monthly and quarterly P&L as well as forecasts and medium-term planning
- You will get to support in invoicing and actively communicating with our invoicing/accounting team
- You will prepare and analyze data to generate insights
- You will support the team in the preparation of management reports as well as in the month-end closure and cost center reconciliation
- You will be involved in the continuous improvement of the team reporting and forecasting processes as well as the various group systems (SAP, Tagetik)
- You will get to work on various cross-functional projects
What you’ll need to succeed
- Current studies towards an advanced degree in Finance/Accounting or related fields with a focus on controlling
- Extended knowledge of Excel (Pivots, Charts) is mandatory, further IT knowledge is a benefit
- Safe handling of Microsoft products (Office, Outlook, MS Teams, etc.)
- Structured and precise way of working
- Ideally first working experience with SAP, MS Excel Macros or VBA
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Availability for a working student position of 20 hours per week for at least 6-12 months (with option to extend)
