The Group Investment Management (GIM) division is responsible for managing the proprietary Munich Re and ERGO investment portfolio of around 230bn. Within the business unit Investment Strategies of GIM the Tactical Asset Allocation department is responsible for the tactical asset allocation (TAA) of the whole Munich Re Group. This means building a granular TAA on the basis of the long-term strategic allocation (SAA) and regularly updating it to reflect changes in the political/economic environment and movements on the capital markets. The department brings together experts in all liquid asset classes and markets. Portfolio positions in all asset classes are weighted using quantitative and qualitative methods to achieve an efficient investment portfolio. Within this challenging environment you will strengthen the team as an intern within the department “Tactical Asset Allocation“. We are looking for a candidate with strong quantitative and data analytics skills.

Your Job
- Support the investment managers in generating trading ideas and searching for investment opportunities
- Research quantitative methods to analyze and predict capital markets
- Implement quantitative models in Python
- Enhance our quantitative capital markets analysis tools
Your Profile
- Student of mathematics, science, computer science, economics or business administration with a quantitative orientation and excellent grades
- Solid programming skills are required, preferably Python
- Knowledge of quantitative methods, statistics, machine learning, financial mathematics, data analysis or econometric approaches
- Interest in capital markets
Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit.
