Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team as part of our Work-Based Learning Program (WBLP). These trainees will participate in our 3 months' work and training program in our Frankfurt-area Data Centers.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will collaborate with experienced Amazon Data Technicians; following them during
hardware and network troubleshooting. You will have the opportunity to provide our internal
workforce with infrastructure related support, resolving tickets related to HW (Motherboard, RAM,
CPU, GPU, etc) and networking tickets (Link Down, Optics Replacements, Switch Replacements, etc).
At all times you will be assisting an AWS experienced Data Technician.
Key job responsibilities
Duties include:
· Hardware troubleshoot in servers which are not live with AWS Data Techs supervision
· Understand the importance to meet SLA’s against assigned trouble tickets
· Follow the AWS Data Techs during network troubleshooting
· Replace Media (SSD/HDD) according with AWS Data Tech guidance
· Perform regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards etc) under the guidance of
experienced techs
· Interact with third party vendors & contractors who are working on site

Basic qualifications
• High school or equivalent education
• 18 years or older
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work 40 hours/week. Must be able to work 10 hour shifts as needed
Preferred qualification
• Familiarity with computer hardware component and operating systems.
• Experience with one or more of the following hardware platforms (e.g. Dell, HP, ZT, Foxconn, Super
Micro, SGI, etc.) is desirable.
• Ability to manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
