Your Mission
At MBition we create the base building blocks for next generation infotainment systems, build system and user-facing applications and integrate those components into the car infotainment systems. To test the hardware and software components we use various solutions. One of these is our Managed Test Target Farm (MTTF), a network of test benches connected to the cloud to facilitate remote and automated testing.
You will join the Test Environment Management team to shape the future of our farm and maintain the test infrastructure. You will be involved in development and maintenance, and you will be mentored by the team in quality assurance with best practices and mindset. To improve the test architecture, you will be have the opportunity to align with other Software and Test Automation Engineers beyond your own team. In this collaborative position you will have the chance to deepen your knowledge in many hardware or software areas.
The MTTF software is developed by Mercedes-Benz AG, mainly written in Python and JavaScript, making use of modern tools, technologies, engineering practices and methodologies. The backend maintenance for the farm includes server and client configuration, database management and keeping up with the latest updates to the software. Being familiar with embedded systems and telematic and infotainment hardware is beneficial for the position. We welcome all eager candidates even if they do not quite fit the following profile provided they have a passion for challenges and delivery of quality product.
Your Profile
Education:
- Ongoing studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded System, Information Technology, Communication Technology or a comparable qualification
Experience:
- Strong experience with Python and web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, CSS, HTML), node.js, Java
- Experience with test automation and Software testing experience
- Knowledge about testing frameworks and hardware
- Experience with version control and CI/CD (such as Git, GitLab CI and Jenkins)
- Linux scripting knowledge (such as BASH)
- Familiar with docker containers and automated software deployment (Ansible, AWX)
Nice to have:
- Experience in automotive industry and/or embedded SW testing (such as robot framework)
- Experience with in-vehicle infotainment systems
- Experience with simulation tools (CANoe)
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Nginx, Databases (MySQL), AWS (Cloud)
Language skills:
- Proficient in English
- German is a nice to have
