This challenge awaits you:
In embedded software development, we deal with the implementation of functions in control devices. Depending on our customers' needs, we take responsibility for the development of individual software modules through to the entire software. As part of a final thesis, we offer you the opportunity to get to know embedded software development in the automotive sector better. Due to the breadth of our focus, we offer a large selection of topics for bachelor's or master's theses, through which you can acquire new skills and expand your existing knowledge.
Your Tasks:
- Performance optimization in the area of machine vision on integrated hardware (including robot platforms such as the Double3)
- Integration and evaluation of classic models for speech recognition
- Further development and optimization of our own IAV embedded operating system
- Investigation of new processor architectures (e.g. RiscV)
- Development of AUTOSAR tools as graphics and/or cloud solutions
This activity is also possible as part of an internship. You can then continue as a working student.
Necessary Skills:
Ongoing study of computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering or a comparable course of study
Good knowledge of a programming language (preferably C/C++ or Python)
Initial experience in dealing with microcontrollers or experimental platforms (e.g. Arduino, RaspberryPi, BeagleBone)
Desired Skills:
Ideally, initial experience in the desired subject area
