We offer the following research topic
Thesis - Development of sensors & test systems for fuel cells of electric vehicles
Master Thesis
Technologies such as photonics, additive manufacturing, and embedded AI show significant potential to improve the performance of existing automotive test and measurement solutions (such as fuel cell, battery, exhaust, and fuel consumption measurement technologies) and enable future innovative systems through novel applications.
TASK:
- Development of innovative concepts in combination with optical measurement technologies
- Analytical calculation / programming of readout and evaluation of sensor systems
- Realization and construction of demonstrators (prototypes)
- Testing of components / systems in the laboratory in Graz
- Evaluation of laboratory and simulation results in the field
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic knowledge in sensor technology and electrical drive systems
- Good knowledge in C++, Python, MatLab or similar
- Basic knowledge in CFD and additive manufacturing advantageous
- Structured and independent way of working with willingness to learn
- Good knowledge of German and English
- For laboratory activities: Presence in Graz required

The successful completion of the thesis is remunerated with a one-time fee of EUR 3,500.00 before tax.
