Thesis in the field of innovation management: How to sell industrial software*

Fixed-term for 3-6 months

This project aims to explore various approaches for identifying new business models for software products and to develop a method for evaluating these approaches. Additionally, it will assess the use of AI tools to determine their effectiveness and added value. Workshops and interviews will be used to implement and validate the approaches.

YOUR TASKS:

• You research literature on methods for utilizing innovative business models in the industry.
• You develop a process for identifying and validating new business models for industrial software and investigate the applicability of AI tools to support this process.
• You conduct interviews with employees from product management, sales, and potentially customers to gauge acceptance and implementation of new business models.
• You analyze, discuss, and document the findings in detail.

YOUR PROFILE:

• You are studying business administration or a related field.
• You have initial experience with business models, innovation management, and conducting interviews.
• Experience with tools such as Miro is advantageous.
• You have an interest in human-centered questions and developments, as well as in creating novel solutions.
• You work independently and think creatively.
• Your strong teamwork and communication skills complete your profile.
