Technical Support - Trainee FuSa

In our Research and Development center in Prague we employ seven hundred engineers. They are those who stand behind the latest systems of active safety (ADAS) and autonomous driving. What does it mean? Software, hardware engineers, together with mechanical designers, test and system engineers develop sensors and systems for safe and comfortable driving. Automated parking systems, automated emergency braking, blind spot detection and road sign recognition are just a few examples.

We are looking for a student for the position of TECHNICAL SUPPORT - TRAINEE in our R&D Center in Prague. The position is a part-time job (max 20 hours / week). As a trainee you will be linked to our team of system engineers in the department of Ranging Sensors.

YOUR CHALLENGES?

Specifically, we are looking for a Technical Trainee in the Functional Safety team. In this position you will have the following tasks:

• Support creation and maintenance of different KPI dashboards used in the team. Dashboards are based on Google Sheets 

• Investigate how Functional Safety (FuSa) processes can be made more effective by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. You will need to understand FuSa processes and Valeo AI tools

• Research on Safety and AI  based on literature (publications, databases, norms, etc)

• Bachelor degree in the field of Technical Engineering (Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Cybernetics, Robotics, Computer Science)

• Working with Google sheets and scripts

• Basic knowledge of AI

• Hands-on and proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving

• Good level of English to communicate within international teams

• Team player, systematic mindset, people oriented

• Knowledge of Safety Standards, Systems Engineering, HW and SW development processes is beneficial
