This challenge awaits you:

As the level of automation increases, so does the complexity of automated driving functions. Virtual methods are increasingly being used to support the development and validation of these systems, which are to be applied automatically in large architectures. IAV is already relying on an innovative landscape of methods and tools to meet this challenge. We place high demands on the quality of our own solutions as part of these architectures. We are looking for motivated students with experience in data science and/or software engineering for the development of this method and tool landscape as well as for future challenges.

Your Tasks:

• Familiarization with current tool landscapes relating to virtual testing in IAV
• You will support the development of innovative methods and tools for the virtual validation of automated driving functions.
• You will develop modern, intuitive solutions.
• Development or expansion of the simulation and tool environment in Python, C/C++ or Java.

Specific tasks will depend on your personal ideas and profile. We would be happy to discuss these in a joint interview. Applications are also possible for internships and theses (Bachelor / Master).

Necessary Skills:

• Ongoing studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, automotive engineering, mathematics or a comparable course of study
• Good analytical and conceptual skills
• Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C/C++ or Java
• Basic experience in the field of data science
• Good command of English
• High level of commitment, creativity and ability to work in a team as well as an independent and structured way of working
