Responsibilities

• Contribution to create a safe work environment for all maintenance and reliability activities
• Identifies and develop plans to resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses in order to meet the site Product Supply Reliability improvement goals for the given year
• Development of maintenance strategies for high-priority equipment
• Optimize predictive and preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimize long term cost of ownership
• Continuous improvement of existing maintenance & reliability strategies
• Definition of PPM activities based on regulatory or Dow requirements and equipment strategies.
• Leadership of root cause analysis (RCA) in cross-functional teams to reduce equipment downtimes and repair cost
• Uses reliability engineering principles and tools to increase asset capability and asset mechanical reliability.
• Participation in international networks for experience exchange and collaboration
• Identification of critical spare parts
• Support of plant strategies, capitaland expense projects, and improvement goals aligned with the business goals
• Provides front end loading support for plant Turnarounds

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as mechanical engineering, process engineering or a related field
• Fresh graduate or up to two years of working experience
• Working proficiency in both German and English

Preferred skills

• Knowledge about industry equipment
• Experience with SAP, APM, and Root Cause Analysis
• Very good communication skills and ability to steer and motivate a team
• Positive outlook and demonstrated ability to drive change
• Demonstrated facilitative leadership such as team leader for a project or initiative
• Being proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel
• Demonstrating competencies in the areas of: leadership, initiative, teamwork, and interpersonal effectiveness
• Ensuring a safe work environment by working safely and, complying with environmental, health and safety standards
• Strong work ethic and being able to remain productive in an empowered team environment
