PhD Student in System Security / OS Security (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Investigate state-of-the-art research in areas of access control and privilege management, OS security and system security, identify and formalize detailed challenges and deficiency of investigated approaches.
• Design, develop and optimize proofs of concepts and support their integration into the products.
• Work closely with domain experts and deliver research results. Publish research papers and technical reports at high ranked scientific conferences.
• Conduct collaborations with research institutions and universities.

Your areas of expertise

• You have recently completed or will soon complete your master studies in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related areas.
• Deep understanding and experience in at least one security area like access control, OS security, system security, code analysis, cryptography and etc.
• Knowledge about the inner workings of OS kernels is a plus.
• Experience with Linux, macOS, iOS or Android.
• Good programming skills in C/C++. (Rust is a plus)
• Team-work spirit, the capability to learn quickly and independently as well as a hands-on, can-do attitude.
• Fluent written and spoken English skills.
