Job Description

• You are enthusiastic about the challenges of intelligent data analysis, from visualization and statistics to machine learning? During your internship, you will get familiar with the analysis requirements of a fully automated semiconductor production facility and focus in particular on the application of transformer models (machine learning) for the classification of texts, data and images.
• Working in a team consisting of analysts, data scientists and automation experts, you will gain insight into various aspects of data usage in semiconductor manufacturing and assist with day-to-day tasks.
• You will work with big data technologies and modern analysis software, develop your own analyses and contribute to the documentation and user support of this software.

Qualifications

• Education: Master studies in the field of Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Comparable
• Experience and Knowledge: strong understanding of data, statistics and machine learning; good programming skills in a scripting language (e.g., Python) and experience with common ML libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow; basic understanding of transformer models in the field of machine learning is an advantage
• Personality and Working Practice: a team player who is flexible, motivated, resilient, a good communicator, a problem solver, independent, result-oriented and reliable
• Languages: very good written and spoken English, German is a plus

Start: from October 2024
Duration: 6 months
