Our department is responsible for the design, mechanics and innovative emission technologies for the combustion engines and PHEVs of Mercedes passenger cars and vans as well as AMG GmbH. We are thus making a decisive contribution in the phase of transformation into the future of powertrains.

Our team deals with the development of gasoline and diesel engine mechanics at the Stuttgart site. From the crankshaft to the cylinder head, all parts are developed and tested in the department. During your internship, you will work in the engine ventilation team. We develop and test all engine components. Testing takes place on the full engine or component test bench as well as in the vehicle and safeguards the components as individual parts and in the overall engine or vehicle system.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

  • Planning, processing, execution and evaluation of measurements on the full engine test bench and vehicle tests as well as off-engine component tests of the crankcase ventilation systems
  • Involvement in the day-to-day business, from the design of new systems to troubleshooting on the test benches and in the test vehicles
  • Preparation of presentation documents, evaluations, calculations and documentation of the test results
Qualifikationen
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable course of study
  • Confident handling of MS Office, VBA desirable
  • Confident written and spoken German and English skills
  • Team and communication skills and commitment
  • Enthusiasm for the engine concepts of the future desirable
