Student Worker- Software Development in Rust (m/f/d)

As the Rust programming language is gaining more traction in the industry, we want to evaluate and learn more about it's application within Dolby. This project aims to develop test tools for audio and video encoders/decoders in Rust. In addition it involves proof of concept work to enhance or replace existing technologies that are written in other programming languages. You will be part of a cross project team called Software Deliverables Tech Community. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop Rust modules and command line tools for audio testing.
• Develop GStreamer plugins.
• Create bindings for C and Python.
• Create Rust bindings for existing C and Python tools.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. 
• Experience in Rust Development
• Knowledge of git and Continuous Integration in gitlab. 
• Independent, with a proactive approach to self-guided learning.

Nice to have experience for this position

• GStreamer knowledge
• Other programming languages like C/C++ and Python
