Master thesis analysis of damage tolerance (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

Topic: "Development of a method for the calculation of delaminations in fibre composite structures"

• Literature research regarding the influence of circular delaminations on the mesh
• Comparison of structured/non-structured mesh calculations
• Creation of a tool for structured mesh generation in ABAQUS
• Application of the calculation method at component level
• Documentation of the results

Your Qualifications

• Enrolled student in the Master's programme: Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable
• Knowledge of technical calculation and composite materials
• Initial experience in working with FEM (e.g. Abaqus)
• First programming experience with Python (desirable)
• Independent, structured and goal-orientated way of working
