Internship in the field of Digital Innovation & GenAI from August 2024

Our "IT Strategy Execution & ProgramX" ITR/X department takes care of the Mercedes-Benz-wide enterprise architecture, our "ProgramX" IT strategy and the product ownership of important digital products. In particular, our "ProgramX Tech Frontrunner" team looks after the topics of Generative AI and innovation management. Our team's task is to make IT, sales and marketing fit for the future by giving them access to the most important trends and technologies of tomorrow. We rely on open innovation: we proactively screen tech trends and then evaluate the relevance of the trends for Mercedes-Benz.

During your internship, you will independently lead the management of our Innovation Community and be responsible for content and further development. You will also drive innovation by contributing to trend reports and managing topics relating to Generative AI. With us, you will get to know important sources for innovation management, experience the tasks and challenges of an innovation team hands-on and get the chance to expand your personal network and gain insights into other areas of Mercedes-Benz. During the internship, you will receive support and mentoring from an experienced team member and the opportunity to drive forward innovative topics in the automotive industry.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• You will research and evaluate tech trends in IT, marketing and sales
• You create content such as blog posts or interviews and their visual designs for our innovation community
• You plan and organize virtual innovation events and have the opportunity to moderate them
• You define KPIS (Key-Performance-Indicator), create reports and derive goals for our innovation community and further develop the community strategy
• You will be actively involved in all relevant areas of the team, such as the documentation and maintenance of our wiki, our monthly OKRs planning (Objectives and Key Results) and our team events

• You are studying communication or media studies, innovation management, economics or a comparable course of study
• You have a good command of German and English
• You already have some experience with MS Office, collaboration platforms such as Confluence, GenAI tools such as ChatGPT, image editing programs or other social media tools
• You are enthusiastic about digitalization and new technologies, have a basic understanding of IT and a passion for innovation and cooperation
• Ideally, you already have experience through internships or working student positions in the implementation of new ideas and innovations or in the creation of content and community management
• Your strengths include quick comprehension, creative ideas, reliability, an independent way of working, a high degree of flexibility and the ability to work in a team
