Internship in Institutional Clients & Transaction Banking Sales

As an Intern in Institutional Clients in Frankfurt you will support Relationship Managers for banks and public sector clients in Europe and North America. Together with product units the team is responsible for the distribution of cash management, trade finance and capital market products as well as bilateral and syndicated loans. Your tasks will include supporting Relationship Managers in the preparation of client meetings such as client presentations, data analysis, financial market analysis and briefing notes as well as assisting them in the Know Your Customer processes. You will also be responsible for data automation and visualisation by leveraging tools like Bloomberg or S&P Capital IQ. Additionally, you will oversee various projects that aim to increase the teams workflow and capabilities.

During your internship you will not only learn about products and processes, but also about the intricacies of maintaining a global client base of sophisticated institutional clients. You will gain insight into the dynamics of managing client relations with financial institutions and public sector clients in advanced economies.

• Currently studying towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or other relevant fields or graduated within the last 12 months
• Strong communication and sales skills, high social competence, and intercultural adaptability
• Analytical and numerical mindset, creative and innovative thinking
• Ability to take ownership of short- and long-term projects, work to a deadline and take initiative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in programming is an advantage (e.g. SQL, Python, or R)
• Previous internship experience in finance or business is preferable
• Fluency in English; German skills desirable
