Internship in Project Management Quality for Electric Vehicles/SUV from September 2024

Quality is a core value of the Mercedes-Benz brand and therefore one of the most important success factors in our work - from development, through production on the assembly line, to the vehicle in the hands of the customer.

In the EVA2 and SUV product groups, we lay the foundations for electromobility and luxury SUVs and manage all development-relevant quality processes throughout the entire product creation process, from the strategy phase to the start of series production.

As part of your internship in Project Management Quality, you will have the opportunity to get involved in the vehicle development process at an early stage and gain practical experience in both project and quality management. You will gain insights into innovations and the opportunity to accompany a completely new type of vehicle during the development and test phase and to help put it on the road.

Your tasks:

• Analysis and processing of technical problems and quality-relevant customer feedback, including preparation of presentation documents for coordination meetings at management level.
• Supporting the ordering of test vehicles for Q approvals, including checking equipment lists and implementing changes.
• Support in the planning of management workshops by coordinating with project management partners in development and other QM departments at the US plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Comprehensive processing of smaller project tasks
• Maintaining contact with the employees of the Tuscaloosa quality department and regular exchange of relevant quality information
• Collaboration in the retrieval and preparation of internal test results in the form of monthly reporting on the achievement of quality objectives
• Flexible workstations with 2 screens and home office option

• Degree course: Industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electromobility, electrical engineering or a comparable degree course
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills
• Experienced with MS Office (Excel, Power Point), knowledge of SharePoint and collaboration tools an advantage

Personal skills:

• Interest in cross-departmental project management and in working with different contacts
• High degree of self-motivation
• Ability to work independently in order to take the greatest possible personal responsibility for the tasks assigned
