Our department »Electrosynthesis« focuses on the development and optimization of electrocatalytic processes for the sustainable production of hydrogen and other important basic and specialty chemicals. As part of your Master's thesis, we would like to find out together with you how 3D-printed electrodes can be used in electrochemical cells to make the future of electrolysis more sustainable and efficient.
What you will do
- Development of filament compositions for FDM printers
- Development and printing of electrode structures
- Testing the printed structures in electrochemical cells
- Evaluation and interpretation of test results
What you bring to the table
- Studies in natural sciences or engineering, e.g. chemistry, process engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar field of study
- Enthusiasm for innovation and creativity, especially in the areas of 3D printing and electrochemical processes
- Ideally, you have basic knowledge of 3D printing and some experience in laboratory work
- Good knowledge of English or German
- Enjoy teamwork
