Internship in Supply Chain Management from September 2024

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Hamburg has been part of today's Mercedes-Benz AG since 1978. Within the Group, the Hamburg plant is an elementary component of the powertrain production network, with the products axles, steering columns, pedal systems and numerous other components.

In the area of scheduling and start-up management, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of new product projects, from the test phase to market launch. Scheduling offers a diverse insight into logistics processes and procedures in the automotive industry. There is no shortage of exciting tasks within the supply chain and the opportunity to work with other interface areas such as planning, quality, production and development. We also offer the option of writing your final thesis in a practical environment.

The following tasks await you during the internship:

• Preparation of data for digital store floor management
• Creating and updating work lists of new parts for new parts projects
• Supporting start-up planning for parts availability, including communication with the supplier, reporting of critical components, coordination of bottleneck supply
• Independent implementation of sub-projects
• Preparation of regular appointments with various trades, e.g. for start-up coordination

• Degree in business administration, industrial engineering or a comparable course of study
• Proficient in written and spoken German and English
• Confident handling of MS Office, with a focus on Excel, VBA knowledge an advantage
• Experience with SAP desirable
• Knowledge in the areas of project management, supply chain management, production planning is an advantage
• Structured way of working, interdisciplinary thinking
• Ability to work in a team, communication and conflict management skills

Internship duration: 6 months (start on the 1st or 15th of the month)
