The Mercedes-Benz plant in Hamburg produces axles and axle components for a large number of model series.
In the Chassis Development team, axle components are developed in-house and accompanied and managed from the first prototypes to the transfer to production. As part of the internship, you will work together with the development sub-project manager on the implementation of forward-looking projects with a different focus.
As a powertrain plant, the Hamburg plant is significantly involved in the development and production of axles and axle components for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. Your work in the development area for axles and axle components will focus on project management for the development of a new generation of axle components.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
- Preparing and contributing to strategic decision papers for future product projects
- Coordination of technical and economic topics in the area of axle components for the front and rear axle
- Planning, supporting and participating in interdisciplinary workshops
- Preparation of presentations and status reports
- Development of new methodological approaches
- Participation in product-independent projects
- Working on interdisciplinary interfaces, including contact with suppliers and customers
- Degree in engineering, economics or a comparable course of study
- Proficient in written and spoken German and English
- Confident handling of MS Office
- Commitment and ability to work in a team
- Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
