Internship in Development - Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing from September 2024

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Hamburg produces axles and axle components for a large number of model series. In the Chassis Development team, axle components are developed in-house and accompanied and managed from the first prototypes to the transfer to production.

As part of the internship, you will work together with the Development sub-project manager on the implementation of forward-looking projects with a different focus.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Collaboration in the development of innovative concepts
• Contributing to the testing of concepts - Rapid prototyping on an industrial 3D printer
• Implementation of 3D printing in the product range
• Participation in the technical exchange with production, maintenance, quality and other areas

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
• Practical experience in CAD/design, programming and FE calculation is an advantage
