Internship in the field of assistance systems from September/October 2024

The Safeguarding, Test Technology and Communication Assistance Systems team in the Active Safety division contributes to the realization of the vision of autonomous driving and looks at the latest functions of driver assistance systems from the customer's perspective during development.

In addition, the current state of innovation is presented at driving events, to representatives of authorities and the press, and test equipment and methods for driver assistance systems are developed.

During the internship, you will support the project managers in field validation in a vehicle-related role. As part of a team of interns, you will be responsible for the daily tasks that arise in the team.

These are some of the challenges you will face

• Processing and evaluating development-relevant measurement data from highly automated driving systems and current safety and comfort systems
• Participation in the support of measurement technology fleet operations
• Conception, implementation and evaluation of driving tests with test persons

An internship of 6 months is desirable. A combination of compulsory and voluntary internships is not a problem.

• Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, industrial engineering, media informatics or a comparable course of study
• Proficient in written and spoken German and English
• Confident handling of MS Office and knowledge of the programming language Python, Matlab or similar
• Knowledge of database structures and SQL is desirable
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
• Driving license class B
