Internship in the field of digitization of complete vehicle testing & big data from October 2024

Our department Complete Vehicle Testing Midsize Cars MB.EA-M is responsible for the digital testing and global testing of prototypes in the Mercedes-Benz electric midsize segment.

In the Digital Validation & Data Management team, we manage the digital testing of all Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the early development phases and are responsible for the development and optimization of our digital simulation methods in the context of the complete vehicle.

In addition, we develop and operate measurement technology for the MB.EA-M complete vehicle test. We set this up independently, prepare the data for analysis and evaluate it both for the entire test fleet and on a vehicle-specific basis.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Preparation and execution of complete vehicle tests to compare simulation results
• Supporting the provision of vehicle-specific development data (e.g. CAD data, chassis data, etc.) for the overall vehicle simulation
• Evaluation of tests and simulations to optimize the simulation methods
• Support in setting up and providing measurement technology for the vehicle
• Evaluation and analysis of measurement data from test drives
• Collaboration in the interdisciplinary working environment of the complete vehicle test

• Degree in engineering (mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, etc.)
• Enthusiasm for vehicles and innovations
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
• Basic knowledge of programming (e.g. Python, Matlab, etc.) desirable
