Working student position in Future Body & UX Hardware from October 24

We are research. We develop future concepts, technologies, components and materials for Mercedes-Benz cars and vans. We research innovative technologies for development and work together with world-leading experts in the fields of interior, exterior, body, digitalization, materials, 3D printing, new E/E technologies as well as components and systems. We integrate process and product innovations across the board and ensure applicability for the digitalized development of the future.

As the "Future Body & UX Hardware" team, we research and develop UX hardware & the body of the future. When developing innovative ideas and systems, we work together as an interdisciplinary team from various disciplines such as engineering and product design. The range of topics covers all aspects from innovative display and operating technologies (HMI) to prototype implementation and innovative body concepts.

We are looking for active support for our team in the form of a working student position (approx. 15 hours per week).

In addition to an interesting, varied and challenging working student position, you will have the opportunity to gain an insight into corporate research at Mercedes-Benz. You will learn how an international company operates and functions and experience a modern, efficient working environment in which you will be actively involved as a student.

These are some of the challenges you will face

• Identifying and analyzing technologies and trends in the areas of operating and display systems, body and vehicle concepts, manufacturing technologies and materials, as well as evaluating their significance for our vehicles
• Clear preparation and presentation of your own research results
• General project support (preparation of presentation documents, preparation and follow-up of appointments, etc.)
• Developing, contributing and implementing your own ideas for operating and display systems as well as body concepts of the future
• Insights into and support for related topics

• Degree in Engineering Psychology, User Experience, Interaction Design, Human Machine Interaction, Engineering and Industrial Engineering or a comparable course of study
• Commitment, team & communication skills
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
• Creativity & curiosity
