Internship in the production of axle components from October 2024

Over 80 years ago, automobile construction began at the Hamburg plant. The ability to innovate is something that has always characterized the team at Plant 68. The manufacture of premium products for our customers all over the world employs around 2,500 people here at the site every day. The product portfolio of the Hamburg plant includes axles, lightweight construction and many other interesting areas. Enter the world of axle production in Hamburg. As part of an internship, work with the production engineers and managers in the area to help optimize components and processes in terms of quality, stability and digitalization.

These are some of the challenges you will face

• Creating and optimizing dashboards (PowerBI, OpenSearch)
• Supporting the specialist departments with master data maintenance
• Helping to shape the digitalization of various production processes at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Hamburg
• Interface communication between the individual departments (production, IT, maintenance, logistics)

• Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable course of study, as well as knowledge of data analysis and automation technology
• Knowledge of production processes, lean management and initial practical experience would be an advantage
• Confident written and spoken German language skills
• Confident handling of MS Office, explicitly PowerBI
• Basic knowledge of the Python programming language and database editing desirable
