Thesis on the technical development of a virtual product configuration platform based on Nvidia Omniverse from November 2024

We, the IT department of Mercedes-Benz Vans, are looking for a Master's student for the technical development of a virtual product configuration platform consisting of internal and external sub-products based on Nvidia Omniverse.

The task is divided into three steps:

The aim of the master's thesis is to create an initial prototype.

The final topic will be determined in consultation with the university, you and us.

• Master's student in the field of IT, game design, engineering or a related degree program
• Understanding of CAD & xR
• Experience with game engines e.g. Unity/Unreal, ideally Nvidia Omniverse
• Programming skills, preferably Python
• Business fluent in German and English
• A high degree of creativity and the ability to solve complex problems
• Ability to work independently and in a team
