Student work in the field of research

We are research. We develop future concepts, technologies, components and materials for Mercedes-Benz Cars.

We research the latest technologies for development and work together with world-leading experts in the fields of interior, exterior, digitalization, smart materials, new E/E technologies as well as components and systems.

As the Future Materials team, we research and develop new materials and surfaces for the interior of the future. We work together as an interdisciplinary team from various disciplines.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Collaboration with the project management in the design of project content and the development of innovations
• Holistic investigation and evaluation of innovative technologies for overall staging in the exterior
• Implementation and evaluation of concepts

The final topic will be determined in consultation with the university, you and us.

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study
• Confident handling of MS-Office
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
• Great affinity for new technologies and current developments in the automotive industry
